- The Quebec government include a mandatory two-week paid summer vacation in the construction workers' collective agreements. This vacation known as the "construction holiday" runs for two weeks from the last Sunday in July and other Quebecers take vacation at the same time, meaning that about one quarter of all Quebecers are off.
