History of the Birthday of the Sultan of Johor
Johor is the southernmost point of mainland Asia. Johor is the oldest constitutional monarchy in Malaysia, with the system adopted in 1895.
Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar Al-Haj was born on November 22nd 1958. He is the 25th Sultan of Johor and the 5th Sultan of modern Johor.
He became Sultan on January 23rd 2010, following the death of his father.
He was crowned as the Sultan of Johor on March 23rd 2015. Since 2015, this has been the official anniversary for the Sultan.
