About El Beni
Beni is the second-largest of the nine departments that make up the Plurinational State of Bolivia. Located in the north-east of the country, its capital is La Santísima Trinidad.
Sometimes known as El Beni, the department was created by a supreme decree on November 18th 1842 during the administration of General José Ballivián.
