UAE confirms Isra'a Wal Mi'raj holiday date for public and private sectors

On Wednesday, The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation on Wednesday announced that Saturday 14 April 2018 will be the official holiday for the public and private sector for Al Isra Wal Miraj. Work will resume on Sunday.

The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources and the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the holiday for both federal bodies and the private sector.

In a note issued by Nasser Bin Thani Al Hamli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the authority congratulated President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Their Highnesses Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, wishing them health and wellness.

The note also congratulated the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion, while praying to Allah Almighty to provide the nation with further advancement and prosperity.

On Tuesday, Kuwait and Oman announced that they will observe Al Isra Wal Miraj on Sunday 15 April 2018.
