Resolution pertaining to public holidays in Dubai

On Tuesday, Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, issued Executive Council Resolution No. 14 of 2018 pertaining to the announcement of official holidays in Dubai.
Pursuant to the resolution, Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) is the only entity authorised to announce Dubai Government’s official holidays according to the announcements issued by federal authorities. In its announcements, DGHR will specify the dates and duration of official holidays.
The DGHR director-general is authorised to issue the bylaws required to implement this resolution. This Resolution annuls any other legislation that contradicts or challenges its articles.
The resolution is valid from the date of issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette.
