The Government of Bihar has announced paid public holidays on Thursday, November 6, 2025, and Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in connection with the General Elections to the Bihar Legislative Assembly, 2025.
The decision, notified under No. 3/H0-01/2023-19483/SA, aligns with Press Note No. ECI/PN/316/2025 dated 06.10.2025 issued by the Election Commission of India, which scheduled the polling to take place in two phases across various constituencies in the state.
Polling Schedule
Phase 1 – Thursday, 06 November 2025
Polling will be held in Assembly Constituencies No. 70 to 202, covering major districts including Madhepura, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Patna, Begusarai, Nalanda, Munger, Bhagalpur, and Buxar.
Phase 2 – Tuesday, 11 November 2025
The second phase will cover Constituencies No. 1 to 69 and 203 to 243, including West Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Katihar, Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, and adjoining areas.
