Guatemala: Independence Day. Commemorates independence of the Central American provinces from Spanish rule in 1821

Japan: Respect for the Aged Day. Respect of the Aged Day was established as a national holiday in 1966 to express respect for the elders in the community

Nicaragua: Independence Day. Commemorates independence of the Central American provinces from Spanish rule in 1821
Papua New Guinea: Independence Day Holiday. Commemorates the day Papua New Guinea gained its indepence from Australia in 1975
Slovakia: Day of Our Lady of Sorrows. In 1727, Pope Benedict XIII declared Our Lady of Sorrows to be respected by the Church and its members as a Patron of Slovakia and later in 1966 was declared by Pope Paul VI as the main Patron.

Spain (regional): Lady of Aparecida. Honours the Virgin Mary, Cantabria's patron saint through a statue that was found at the start of the 17th century.
