Namibia: Cassinga Day (in lieu). Commemorates the Cassinga Massacre that took place during the Namibian War of Independence on May 4th 1978
Netherlands: Liberation Day. Marks the liberation of the Netherlands from Nazi occupation at the end of the second world war
Saint Kitts and Nevis: Labour Day. Similar to International Workers' Day, this holiday recognises the importance of workers' rights
South Korea: Buddha's Birthday. Lantern parades are held for Buddhas Birthday which is celebrated in late April or early May
South Korea: Children's Day. This Holiday was founded by the Korean childrens writer Pang Chong-hwan in 1923 as a way to instil in the children a sense of independence and national pride
Thailand: Coronation Day (in lieu). The Thai government has announced May 4th will be a public holiday henceforth to mark the coronation of the King in 2019
